In my field, there are many occasions when you work with or are able to meet individuals who are in the public domain.
Unfortunately, the tendency for some people, when faced with a famous personality, is to get all starry –eyed, nervous and to say something they may regret afterwards.
Sports stars, celebrities, politicians or just the plain old rich & famous are to be found at various events…and they all have one thing in common – they’re human beings! You’ve all heard the phrase “be yourself” – great advice for when confronted with your favourite Hollywood star on the red carpet!
At a recent business exhibition in Kent, I managed to have a chat with the great British motor sport legend, John Surtees.
He outlined his involvement with the work he’s doing at Buckmore Park Kart Circuit. His daughter, Leonora works there and she is heavily involved with the Henry Surtees Foundation which was set up after the tragic loss of her brother in 2009.
