Was pleased to take part in a panel discussion recently. It was chaired by Robert Dunsmore, who did a great job…..
How do I know this?
Well, experience tells me he had done his homework, he
– understood the audience
– had prepared questions for the panelists
– done background research on them
– had a clear idea about the issues and
– at the end thanked the panelists for their participation.
….during the debate, didn’t interrupt the panelists, nor any of the audience members who wanted to make a contribution.
He also ensured that the debate started and finished on time.
In short, he was first-class…so, Rule 2 of conference presenting (when your a chair of a panel) is to “take and keep control”
