As I’ve mentioned on here before, preparing for an event is essential if you want things to go run smoothly and part of the preparation is to “case the joint” or to do a reccy of the event location. Nowadays most hotels, conference centres and the like have suitable air conditioning so one shouldn’t have to worry at all about this.
But event planners and event organisers may have to double check how a room or conference suite can feel in very warm weather – so bear this in mind when you visit a location during the winter months.
Smaller locations may not have a sophisticated air-conditioning system, if so, either you or the event organiser may have to make some last minute adjustments to the room so air can flow freely.
A presentation or talk can be ruined by an uncomfortable and sweaty audience!
