If you’re an event presenter or event host what do you take with you to a do, just in case? Why ask you say, well I can tell you from experience things have a habit of getting lost, broken or even stolen so it’s best to be prepared if you’re to be the centre of attention. Even the slightest mishap or loss can affect your performance.
Leaving aside the normal preparation like eating, drinking and sleeping in the run up to an event what else can you do? This, of course, all depends on the time and location of an event. You will of course have sorted out your travel arrangements, car parking availability and so on but what of the little things which can come in handy because you never know. My list of essential extras includes:
a spare shirt and tie
handkerchiefs
cufflinks
shoe-laces
water
chewing-gum
a variety of toiletries
overnight bag
Can you think of anything else I should take along?
