At a YBC networking breakfast, the very talented Sorcha Ra showed off her expertise as prestidigitator – a wonderful term for someone who has sleight of hand, or superior hand dexterity.
Sorcha entertained the crowd with several crystal balls…and being a business breakfast, I thought she could use her act a metaphor for customer relations. A bit like this:
1. Always keep close to your customers – call them on a regular basis.
2. Have transparency in your dealings with them – be honest.
3. Be engaging – don’t be boring or use jargon when talking to them.
