Well, according to Martin Kelner writing in the Guardian, we do. And I agree with him.

There’s something about types like Stuart Hall and John Motson (and going back a bit David Coleman and Peter West). They have gravitas, mellifluous voices and a certain sense of humour that leaves the “young turks” standing.
