Be Professional When Cold Calling

A colleague of mine sent me an e-mail a few days ago:

Just had a sales call for Sentinel Card Protection, nice intro, clear until I said can I have the website details, she didn’t answer but asked another question when is the best time to call. I said “not at all really I work full time, a single mum then when I get home I’ve the family to deal with, and eventually crash cos I’m shattered”. “Can I have the website details”… She asked another question, saying it’ll only take 5-10 mins to talk about. I said “no” but I’d like the URL please. Her response, ‘hang on I’ll have to get it’ put me on hold to get the link.

The caller really must improve her opening lines and her product knowledge.
