Spent an enjoyable day yesterday at a well-known studio. Guided three female presenters in the art of doing a piece to camera in a green screen environment with autocue. Like public speaking, presenters need to prepare, understand the script and learn about diaphragm breathing.
Presenting, as many of you already know, involves firm control of your hand and eye movements. Yesterday, I outlined that to be a successful presenter, you ought to:
1. Have good vocal power.
2. Use appropriate hand and arm gestures.
3. Understand the script and intonation.
4. Work on one’s posture.
Having a positive attitude and being a reliable individual are equally as important!
