Managed to catch the latest film starring Daniel Craig earlier this evening. Defiance is a brilliant film and an appropriate one to view on Holocaust Memorial Day. Go and see it.

This post is somewhat similar to one over at my other site in 2007. In that post, I described how I won the “Best Evaluator” award at my Toastmasters International Speaking Club. I was a winner once again earlier this evening. Many benefits can be derived by actively taking part in a Toastmasters Club. Amongst those benefits are:
1. Improved self-confidence.
2. The ability to present & communicate clearly and effectively.
3. One learns leadership skills

Many of you probably loathe “marketingspeak“, “pctalk” and other gobbledegook. In my seminars and workshops, I always make a point of telling people to say what you mean. In other words, communicate with clarity. So I was pleased to read this morning that a local council in the Midlands has decided to ban jargon.
Question is, will it really mean the end of phrases like “operatives working”?
