Earlier this evening, I attended the graduation ceremony of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. There’s a connection between the Guildhall School and the new Bond film, “Quantum of Solace”. Star Daniel Craig graduated there in 1991.
Daniel Craig is not the only well known actor who studied at the Guildhall. Orlando Bloom and Ewan McGregor are alumni.
The seminar is coming up fast. The first session takes place on November 11th at Barnet FC. You can register by clicking here on the Communicate With Clarity website or here on the Eventbrite page.
Guest speaker on November 11th is Helen Sewell, MD of Simply Speaking.
The new James Bond film had it’s World Premiere last night. The Leicester Square TV “fan-cam” was in attendance. There are two videos:
and here’s part two
London: 29 October 2008
This Royal World premiere was so big there were two cinemas used. Both Odeon and Empire were dedicated to the task. The main Odeon hosted Princes William and Harry, the films stars, filmmakers and invited celebs. The Empire hosted lucky members of the public seeing the film at the same time. Millions were spent on the event and party and it showed. The Squares garden had a 30 metre curved projection screen fitted for the spectacle. Garden premieres offer a choice for the visiting fan, garden or outside. The capturista’s material is often best collected around the media line, so I elected for garden this time. We weren’t allowed in till two o’clock. By that time the queue was massive, Id been out there wrapped up in three layers since 5:30am. My fanline neighbour was Meri from Tokyo, Japan who flew in just for this event arrived half an hour before I did. She’s a big Daniel fan so to get his autograph was a dream come true. Then after a few minutes another dream come true when Prince William came over and shook her hand and spoke to her. Catch this in part 2 of this video. There were stars aplenty to compensate. Daniel Craig still with his broken signing paw was able to use that right hand a little to sign some pics and autographs along the fanline. The two leading ladies looked so lovely; Olga in red and Gemma in purple. Only Gemma could be persuaded to come to our part of the line. Dame Judi had so much media work that she couldnt come to our barrier. I heard from my fan-mates outside the garden that Olga and Judi did sign there. Producer Michael G Wilson, Director Marc Forster signed and others.

Had you been at Leicester Square last night you would have enjoyed the buzz surrounding the UK Premiere’s of Che and Telstar. The latter was described by it’s director Nick Moranas “the most London film at the London Film Festival”. He’s probably right, and I can wait for it’s general release date.
Getting sound bites from the likes of Robert Carlyle, Steve Soderbergh, Pam Ferris and Benecio Del Toro ensured a truly great night for LSQ TV. For the movie junkies amongst you, here’s a photo of Steve Soderbergh and Benecio Del Toro brought to you from Daylife and here’s the You Tube version of the LSQ TV clip:
