Yesterday, which turned out to be hew hottest day of the year so far, I took part in a corporate cricketing challenge organised by Steve Surridge’s Eclipse Sports Promotions
The venue - Lord’s. Six teams each comprising of seven players, including a legend, took part. The legends were Devon Malcolm, Phil deFreitas, Darren Maddy, Ali Brown, Pedro Collins
The event started at 11 and within what seemed just a few minutes, yours truly caught a beauty at backward short leg! “Australia” at that point, were doing well against “Pakistan”, the eventual competition winners.
