But how does one network effectively? Well, on JCom Radio at 10pm tonight you may well find out. My guest is the one and only Andy Lopata from “Word Of Mouse“.
You may have been involved in the past, with more than one business networking club. Clearly some are better than others, or is it just a case of how you present yourself to your peers? Or is it choosing the right networking group to be associated with?
I think it’s combination of both, but that in itself won’t bring you success. You have to really “work” your contacts and by that I mean don’t hunt for business on a first meeting. As a corporate host and presenter, I need to create the right impression 100% of the time. If one comes across too eager or too pushy then I don’t suppose you’ll be that successful. Networking, as explained to me once, is all about “unconditional giving“.

networking is really difficult. you have to put your time into it. i have never been good in networking. its not just my talent maybe. i appreciate those who have the will to go on in that field.
