Expanding on my Facebook “status”, I’d like to highlight, in brief, what is required to be successful in presenting, or indeed anything in life. Any self-employed person who works on a contract or freelance basis needs, in my view, to tell the their story, every working day. Specifically, this involves setting goals, sticking to your plans; telephoning production companies, agents; overcoming setbacks and delays - and of course blogging! This upkeep of this site site along with Corporate Presenter is vital.
Tomorrow, I’ll be setting aside time which will be devoted to organising an event where I’ll be the corporate host. On top of this there’s the usual tele-marketing and later, I’ll be preparing for my radio show on Tuesday evening. Tuesday and Wednesday are work days and during breaks I’ll be on the phone. Thursday’s are great for cold-calling and networking - I’ll be doing both! On Friday, there’s a couple of business appointments.
